- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease an 8x8 inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper for easy removal.
- In a medium bowl, mash the ripe bananas until they are smooth and almost liquid-like. The fewer lumps, the better the final texture will be.
- Add the creamy peanut butter and unsweetened cocoa powder to the mashed bananas. Mix everything together until the batter is smooth, thick, and well combined.
- Pour the batter into your prepared pan and use a spatula to spread it evenly. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with moist crumbs attached.
- Let the brownies cool completely in the pan before slicing. This allows them to set properly and develop their signature fudgy texture.
Notes
Do Not Overbake: For the fudgiest texture, err on the side of underbaking. The brownies will set as they cool.
Patience is Key: You must let the brownies cool completely before slicing to get clean cuts and the best texture.
Variations: Feel free to add 1/2 cup of chocolate chips or chopped nuts to the batter.
