Ingredients
  

  • 4 (6 ounce) salmon fillets skin-on or skinless
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 teaspoons smoked paprika
  • 1.5 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper adjust to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Method
 

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Pat the salmon fillets completely dry with a paper towel.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together the smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, thyme, cayenne, salt, and pepper.
  3. Brush the salmon fillets lightly with olive oil. Sprinkle the Cajun seasoning generously over the top of each fillet, pressing gently to help it adhere.
  4. Place the seasoned salmon fillets on the prepared baking sheet. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the salmon flakes easily with a fork.
  5. Serve the Baked Cajun Salmon hot, with an optional squeeze of fresh lemon juice.
