Method
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Pat the chicken breasts dry and season them generously on both sides with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
- In a large, oven-safe skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Sear the chicken for 2-3 minutes per side until golden brown. Remove from skillet and set aside.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the Caesar dressing, sour cream, 1/2 cup of the grated Parmesan cheese, and the minced garlic until well combined.
- Return the seared chicken to the skillet. Pour the creamy Caesar sauce evenly over the chicken.
- Sprinkle the remaining 1/2 cup of Parmesan cheese over the top. Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through (165°F) and the sauce is bubbly and golden.
Notes
For best results, use freshly grated Parmesan cheese as it melts better than pre-shredded.
Ensure chicken breasts are of even thickness for consistent cooking.
Let the chicken rest for a few minutes after baking to keep it juicy.
