Ingredients

Cinnamon Honey Butter Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter Softened to room temperature.
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar Sifted to prevent lumps.
  • 2 tbsp honey High-quality clover or wildflower honey.
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon Plus a pinch more for garnish.
  • 1/4 tsp kosher salt To balance the sweetness.

Equipment

  • 1 Electric hand mixer Crucial for whipping air into the butter to create soft, fluffy swirls.
  • 1 Small Clear Glass Ramekin For an authentic, aesthetic presentation.

Method

Making the Butter
  1. Place the softened, room-temperature butter into a medium mixing bowl.
  2. Using an electric mixer, beat the butter on medium speed for 1 to 2 minutes until it becomes pale and creamy.
  3. Add the powdered sugar, honey, ground cinnamon, and kosher salt. Mix on low speed until just combined.
  4. Increase the mixer speed to medium-high and whip for 2 to 3 minutes until the butter is exceptionally fluffy and soft swirls form.
  5. Transfer to a small clear glass ramekin, use a wooden spoon to create swooping swirls, sprinkle with extra ground cinnamon, and serve with rustic toasted bread.

Notes

Temperature Tip: Do not microwave the butter to soften it, or it will not hold its whipped structure.
Storage: Keep refrigerated in an airtight container for up to 2 weeks, and bring to room temperature before serving.
