- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Wash and trim the green beans.
- In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon pieces until partially cooked but not yet crispy. Remove bacon with a slotted spoon, leaving the rendered fat in the skillet.
- Add the melted butter, packed brown sugar, soy sauce, garlic powder, and onion powder to the bacon fat in the skillet. Whisk until the sugar is dissolved.
- Place the trimmed green beans in a 9x13 inch baking dish. Pour the glaze over them and toss to coat. Sprinkle the partially cooked bacon on top.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, stirring halfway through, until the green beans are tender and the glaze has thickened and caramelized.
Notes
Tip 1: For the best texture, be sure to use fresh green beans. Frozen ones will make the sauce watery.
