Ingredients

  • 1.5 lbs large shrimp peeled and deveined, tails on or off
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter melted
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese freshly grated is best
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley chopped
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes optional

Equipment

  • 1 Baking Dish or Rimmed Baking Sheet 9x13 inch is a good size.
  • 1 Mixing Bowl

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Arrange the peeled and deveined shrimp in a single layer in a baking dish.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together the melted butter, minced garlic, grated Parmesan cheese, chopped parsley, salt, pepper, and optional red pepper flakes.
  3. Pour the garlic parmesan mixture over the shrimp and toss gently to ensure they are all evenly coated.
  4. Bake for 8-10 minutes, or until the shrimp are pink, opaque, and cooked through. Be careful not to overcook.
  5. Garnish with additional fresh parsley if desired and serve immediately.

Notes

For best results, use large, raw shrimp. If using frozen, thaw them completely and pat dry before use.
Don't overcrowd the pan; use a single layer for even roasting.
Serve immediately for the best texture.
