Ingredients

  • 1 sheet puff pastry thawed (or 1 can of crescent roll dough)
  • 6 oz deli ham thinly sliced
  • 1.5 cups shredded cheese a mix of mozzarella and cheddar is great
  • 2 tbsp butter melted
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp dried parsley for topping

Equipment

  • 1 Baking Sheet
  • Parchment Paper
  • 1 Sharp Knife

Method

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. On a lightly floured surface, roll out the puff pastry sheet. Brush the surface with half of the melted butter. Arrange the ham slices in an even layer over the pastry, followed by the shredded cheese.
  3. Starting from a long edge, roll the dough up tightly into a log. Use a sharp knife to cut the log into 12 even 1-inch sticks.
  4. Place the sticks cut-side up on the prepared baking sheet. In a small bowl, mix the remaining melted butter with the garlic powder and parsley. Brush this mixture over the tops of the sticks.
  5. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the pastry is puffed and golden brown. Let them cool for a few minutes before serving with your favorite dipping sauce.

Notes

Feel free to use other cheeses like provolone or Swiss.
Ensure your puff pastry is thawed but still cold for the best results.
Serve with marinara, honey mustard, or ranch for dipping.
