Ingredients

For the Crispy Chicken Bites
  • 1.5 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
For the Honey Butter Sauce
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tbsp low-sodium soy sauce

Equipment

  • 1 Large Skillet
  • 1 Mixing Bowl

Method

  1. Pat the chicken dry and cut into 1-inch cubes. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, cornstarch, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Add the chicken and toss to coat evenly.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the coated chicken in a single layer (work in batches if needed). Cook for 3-5 minutes per side, until golden brown and cooked through. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
  3. Reduce heat to medium-low. Add the butter to the same skillet. Once melted, add the minced garlic and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant. Stir in the honey and soy sauce. Bring to a simmer and cook for 1-2 minutes, until the sauce slightly thickens.
  4. Return the cooked chicken to the skillet. Toss to coat each piece in the honey butter sauce. Serve immediately.

Notes

For extra crispy chicken, ensure the oil is hot before adding the chicken and avoid overcrowding the pan.
Adjust the honey and soy sauce to your personal taste preference.
Garnish with fresh parsley or sesame seeds for a finished look.
