Ingredients

  • 14 oz sweetened condensed milk One can
  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1 packet hot chocolate mix About 1 oz or 1/4 cup
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup mini marshmallows Optional, for topping

Equipment

  • 1 8x8 inch baking pan
  • 1 Saucepan
  • Parchment Paper

Method

  1. Line an 8x8 inch square baking pan with parchment paper, leaving an overhang on the sides to easily lift the fudge out later.
  2. In a medium saucepan over low-medium heat, combine the sweetened condensed milk, chocolate chips, and butter. Stir constantly until completely melted and smooth.
  3. Remove the pan from the heat. Immediately stir in the hot chocolate mix and vanilla extract until fully incorporated and the mixture is glossy.
  4. Pour the fudge into the prepared pan and spread into an even layer.
  5. Sprinkle the mini marshmallows over the top and gently press them in.
  6. Refrigerate for at least 2-3 hours, or until firm, before lifting out of the pan and slicing into squares.

Notes

Tip 1: For best results, use good quality chocolate chips as they are the star flavor.
Tip 2: To get clean cuts, use a sharp knife warmed under hot water and wiped dry between slices.
