Method
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9-inch pie pan.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and cocoa powder. If using nuts, stir them in.
- Add the melted butter, eggs, evaporated milk, and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients. Mix until just combined. The batter will be thin.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pie pan. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the edges are set and the center is slightly soft.
- Let the pie cool on a wire rack for at least 15-20 minutes before serving. Serve warm, preferably with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
