  • 24 chocolate sandwich cookies (like Oreos)
  • 6 tbsp unsalted butter melted
  • 8 oz cream cheese softened to room temperature
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips melted and cooled
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 8 oz whipped topping (like Cool Whip) thawed
  • 21 oz canned cherry pie filling

Method
 

  1. Crush the chocolate sandwich cookies into fine crumbs using a food processor or a rolling pin. Mix the crumbs with the melted butter. Press the mixture firmly into the bottom and up the sides of a 9-inch pie plate. Freeze for 10-15 minutes.
  2. In a large bowl, beat the softened cream cheese with an electric mixer until smooth. Beat in the powdered sugar, then mix in the melted chocolate and vanilla extract until smooth. Gently fold in the whipped topping.
  3. Spoon the chocolate filling into the chilled crust and spread evenly. Top with the cherry pie filling.
