- Toast your slice of sourdough bread until golden brown and crispy using a toaster, pan, or broiler.
- While the bread toasts, slice the cherry tomatoes in half and gently chop or tear the fresh basil leaves.
- Spread the cottage cheese in an even layer over the warm toast.
- Arrange the halved cherry tomatoes on top of the cottage cheese. Drizzle with olive oil and optional balsamic glaze.
- Sprinkle with fresh basil, flaky sea salt, and black pepper. Serve immediately.
